Our Story 

 

Betty's Girl started as a vintage clothing boutique located in the heart of California wine country. Opened in fall 2003, Betty's Girl Boutique quickly became a favorite for Napa locals and tourists seeking eclectic vintage finds and stand out dresses. And before long the Betty's Girl Napa brand was born!

 

Our unique one of a kind pieces have a nostalgic feel and modern edge. They fit today's lifestyle and will be treasured for years to come. Each garment is beautifully redesigned using vintage and recycled pieces to utilize fabrics of the past and minimize environmental waste. We use our 21 years of experience to design our garments for a modern woman's shape and lifestyle. 

 

Betty's Girl Napa celebrates women of all ages, sizes and personalities. Over the years our dresses have been a key part of some of the most important days of women's lives-weddings, proms, graduations and birthdays too. 

 

Betty's Girl Napa is owned by Kim Northrop who learned about vintage and designing from her mom Betty. A self-taught seamstress and natural designer, Kim is constantly creating. Her designs are inspired by everything from changes in the seasons to just a scrap of fabric or piece of trim. Known for her mix of patterns and whimsical details, Betty's Girl Napa designs are true conversation pieces. 

 

In 2014, we launched Betty's Girl Couture which specializes in one of a kind custom designs for weddings, proms and holiday events.  This venture was a natural evolution from Betty's Girl Boutique as many of our customers desired to create the dress of their dreams with Betty's Girl herself. Today, we call our Couture design studio the Atelier where you can watch dreams come to life in our Second Street location.

 

In 2024, Betty's Girl Napa expanded its business with a great collection of on trend vintage, one of a kind designs & accessories in Antiques on Second in downtown Napa.  This expansion gives shoppers even more opportunities to add a Betty's Girl treasure to their personal wardrobe.
